Our
facilities are new and inviting... more like a first- class FBO than a
typical flight school. We host a complete pilot shop featuring training
materials, pilot supplies, FAA publications and apparel. Our
professional staff will go out of their way to make you feel
comfortable and at-home.
Manassas
Regional is a Class "D" airport about 25 miles southwest of Washington,
DC. This complex airspace serves as an ideal training environment,
since it includes all classes of controlled airspace, plus a Special
Flight Rules Area (SFRA) and other restricted airspace. This is
"real-world" flying at its best.
We
occupy four hangars on the east side of the airport. One hangar houses
our offices, classroom and R22's; while, the other hangars, immediately
next door, serve as our service center and aircraft storage facilities.
American Helicopters, Inc.
operates from the Manassas Regional Airport in Northern Virginia. We
have a fleet of new Robinson R22 Beta II and R44 Raven II helicopters.
Our
classroom is large enough to accommodate up to 12 students at a time.
It has been approved as an important aspect of our Part 141
certification. While you are training with us, you'll have access to
DSL internet and on-line scheduling, plus real-time weather.
